I’m disappointed in myself. I didn’t take nearly as many photos as I would have liked in Va Beach. I blame the weather. Man, was it HOT. Not even any wind. Wind would have been nice. It stormed on and off and don’t let the photo fool you. Literally 20 minutes before I took this the beach was PACKED. But the storm rolled in and it cleared like cock roaches running for cover when you turn the lights on. The clouds here reminded me of a painting. I don’t know which one..but just a painting.
This my first time with a maternity shoot, and I really had a lot of fun. These were from the workshop and our most awesome model, Emily, whose also a photographer made it really easy. I would love to hear what you think.

Last weekend, I attended The Basics Workshop with Melissa Koehler and Amber Dawn, two awesome photographers in San Diego. I met a great group of ladies who share the same love for photography and we had a blast learning and absorbing everything Melissa and Amber had to share. Not only was the workshop fantastic, but the house we stayed in was AMAZING. What a perfect place to have a photo workshop, look at all that light we had to work with!
So while Amber and Melissa were showing us the ropes, letting us see how they shoot, interact with clients, how to see light and other technical parts of photography, I tried to get some behind the scene shots. These are always my favorite and love seeing other photographers show their behind the scenes photos.
Thank you Melissa and Dawn for being so awesome and sharing your knowledge with us! Looking forward to WPPI… reunion in Vegas anyone? hehehe…
